Tides and swimming conditions in Dinard and on the Emerald Coast
Located in the heart of the Bay of Saint-Malo, the beaches of Dinard, Saint-Lunaire, Saint-Briac-sur-Mer, and Lancieux experience some of the largest tides in Europe. Before laying down your towel on the sand, we recommend checking tide times and the day’s weather forecast.
During the season (July and August), lifeguard stations are present on all beaches in Dinard and Saint-Lunaire, as well as on Grande Salinette and Port Hue beaches in Saint-Briac-sur-Mer and Saint-Sieu beach in Lancieux. For safe swimming, it is recommended to choose supervised beaches and to check the color of the flag raised by the lifeguards.
