The beach is not lifeguarded.
Parking and beach access:
- Access by car: free parking on Boulevard du Béchay (blue zone in July and August). Direct access from the parking lot via stairs and a ramp located at the north end of the beach.
- Access by public transportation: BreizhGo – Line 516. La Houle stop. The beach is located 450 meters from the bus stop.
Pets:
Pets are allowed on Béchet Beach from September 16 to June 14.
Exposure and swimming conditions:
Béchet Beach faces south. It is the best-exposed beach in Saint-Briac-sur-Mer and is sheltered from the wind.
Swimming is possible at high tide. At low tide, the beach is completely exposed. The Béchet cove has numerous moorings, resulting in boat traffic. Caution is advised when swimming. The water quality is rated “Excellent” by the Ministry of Health (2025).
