On Écluse Beach, the heart of the resort comes alive as soon as the first rays of sunshine appear, or during stormy weather when the raging waves crash against the seawall, commanding respect and admiration for this spectacular sight.
Small shops, outdoor cafés, a casino, a heated indoor Olympic-size seawater pool, an outdoor pool, and a carousel line the beach.
Located in downtown Dinard, this beach offers a variety of seasonal activities and tournaments open to everyone, including fitness classes, aqua aerobics, and water sports for those who want to enjoy them... between breaks!
The ultimate family beach:
- Two beach clubs open to children ages 3 and up during spring, summer, and fall break.
- Lifeguards on duty in July and August
- The beach is home to the Wishbone Club (sailing, kayaking, paddleboarding, etc.)
Parking and beach access:
- Access by car: numerous paid parking spaces near the beach.
- Access by public transit: BreizhGo – Lines 516 and 507, Tourist Office stop. Free shuttle from Minihic-sur-Rance: Tourist Office stop. Shuttle from park-and-ride lots (seasonal only): Tourist Office stop.
Easy access: beach at the level of the seawall on the western side, and stairs on the eastern side.
Pets:
Pets are allowed on Écluse Beach from September 16 to June 14.

Écluse Beach is a large, north-facing beach with fine sand. The water quality is rated “Satisfactory” by the Ministry of Health (2025).
Swimming is possible here at both high tide and low tide. The pool (an outdoor pool that fills with water at high tide) makes it easy to swim at low tide.
