From Saint-Malo, the V2 and V3 Bretagne follow the same route to the lock of Mottay in \u00c9vran, a few kilometers past Dinan along the Ille-et-Rance canal, then separate to head to Rhuys in 212 km or Arzal in 131 km.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Starting from Dinard, on rue de la Corbinais, the greenway follows the old railway line that once connected Dinard to Dinan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The path is primarily flat, sheltered by the many trees that line it. It is a route shared only with soft modes of transport, allowing you to ride safely. Covered with a sand surface, the trail is passable all year round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You will reach Pleurtuit in 7 km, Tr\u00e9m\u00e9reuc in 9 km, and Dinan via the towpath along the Rance in 22 km.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Tourist Office has developed 11 bike routes<\/a><\/strong> for you, blending the pleasure of cycling with the joy of discovering, exploring, and admiring the treasures of the Emerald Coast. In Dinard<\/a>, Saint-Lunaire<\/a>, Saint-Briac-sur-Mer<\/a> <\/strong>and Lancieux<\/a>,<\/strong> discover beautiful seaside resorts and enjoy the stunning views along the coast. Stop at the beaches for a swim and then hop back on your bike to follow in the footsteps of Jules Verne, the Romanovs, and the poet Robert William Service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Set off on an adventure along the banks of the Rance and uncover its treasures! Explore the beaches and characteristic streets of these estuary villages. Also, discover an ancient Roman road and take the greenway, much appreciated by cyclists and walkers alike!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Itinerary: The Emerald Coast in 3 Days.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\n

Day 1: From Dinan to Dinard
24 km<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Starting from the port of Dinan, the route follows the Ille-et-Rance canal to Taden. We join the greenway from Saint-Samson-sur-Rance. And off we go for 17 kilometers!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s a pleasant ride, in the shade of hedgerow trees. We pass through the towns of Pleslin-Trigavou, Tr\u00e9m\u00e9reuc, and Pleurtuit before reaching the city center of Dinard. It’s an opportunity to discover its many villas listed as Historical Monuments, its shopping district, and its art galleries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the evening, numerous restaurants offer local products, seafood, and Breton and other cuisines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a night in a hotel, a guesthouse, or the Dinard campsite<\/a>, we set off for the second day.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Day 2 : From Dinard to Lancieux
12 km<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

With the bike path developed along the coast between Dinard and Lancieux, it is very pleasant to pedal and discover these small resorts: Saint-Lunaire and its villas, with its stunning view from Pointe du D\u00e9coll\u00e9. Saint-Briac, with its golf course and charming streets of the former fishing village. And finally, Lancieux, a family-friendly resort with its marshlands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the evening, the summer seaside atmosphere is very pleasant. The campsites, hotel, and guesthouses will allow us to rest until the next day.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Day 3 : From Lancieux
to Saint-Cast-le-Guildo
20 km<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s get back on our bikes to join the V\u00e9lomartime\u00ae. The bike path takes you from Lancieux to Beaussais-sur-Mer, where you can then pick up the route of the V\u00e9lomartime\u00ae.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We follow it westward to Matignon and make a detour of 3 kilometers to Saint-Cast-le-Guildo, a lovely seaside resort offering a beautiful view of the Bay of Saint-Cast and Fort Lalatte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thus concludes our 3-day journey on the Emerald Coast, with kilometers behind us and beautiful memories in our minds!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A few tips and an interactive map<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

To help you prepare your cycling outings, here are a few tips and safety rules to follow:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Wear light-coloured and bright clothing to remain visible to other road users, and consider reflective elements, especially in the evening.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Wearing a helmet is mandatory for children under 12, including those in child seats. It is strongly recommended for teenagers and adults.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Check that your bike is in good condition before setting off: brakes, properly inflated tyres, lubricated chain and working lights.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Make sure your equipment is complete: bell, front and rear lights, reflectors and, if possible, a lock.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Respect traffic regulations, position yourself correctly on the road and use cycle paths where available. Pay particular attention at intersections and to blind spots.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Adjust your speed to traffic conditions, weather and other users, especially on shared paths and leisure routes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Plan your route in advance and choose itineraries suited to your level and that of your group.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Remember to bring the essentials: a rain jacket, sunscreen, a charged phone, as well as a snack and water to stay hydrated throughout your ride.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
